There are so many ways to get rejected as a Chaplain. Here are a few common ones:
My pastor is already here.

I'm all good! (spoken from a hospital bed)
But none so clear and blunt as today. When a sleeping man sat straight up in bed and yelled "No! I don't want a chaplain now or ever."
And before I could take it personally he added
